Stage 1 Drought Measures Return
The City of San Marcos has returned to Stage 1 Drought Measures after seven months in Stage 2. The City Council will consider amendments to the drought rules at its Jan. 3 meeting.

Financial Transparency Info Online
The Comptrollers Office has awarded the City of San Marcos its gold award for meeting strict online financial transparency guidelines. The San Marcos City Council also has adopted Open Government Guidelines to support accountability, improved decision-making, public trust and informed participation in municipal government.

Signing Up for Citizen Comment
Residents who want to sign up for the 30 minute citizen comment period at City Council Meetings may do so at the City Clerk's Office, City Hall, 630 E. Hopkins from 8am - 5:45pm on meeting dates (first and third Tuesdays of the month).
